About amyduncan
I used to mainly play the double bass, and have my songs ticking along beside. Recently I decided to make this my priority. I'm much happier that way..... So I spend all my time writing, recording and gigging, and sometimes painting. All that when I'm not spending time with my wee boy Finn. I still do play bass though...mostly on my own recordings.

Description:
"Peers Steve Earle and Jay Farrar have known it for years: Anders Parker is an extraordinary songwriter. Tell It to The Dust is the ex-Varnaline man's first solo record, and while it retains plenty of jagged textures, the artiness of his old band has been replaced by dusty Americana. On the Zen-like Into the Sun, he mines subterranean guitar riffage and a bruising harp break. The other side of the coin, Keep Me Hanging On, an elegant duet with Kendall Meade, is an instant candidate for the Great American Songbook."

About Calhoun
The presence of Johnny Cash, the voice of Eddie Vedder and the heart of Neil Young, Calhoun has distilled all these qualities to fast become an exciting singer/songwriter performer in Edinburgh!
Based in the capital of Scotland, Calhoun is fast becoming on the Edinburgh circuit a singer/songwriter to be reckoned with. It takes just one live performance of 'Behold The Man' to make every person in a room to sit up and listen. Most known for his remarkable strong vocals and cynical and honest song writing that never shies away from uncomfortable subjects such as alcoholism, domestic abuse, incest, politics and most importantly heartache, Calhoun will bluntly but creatively put a human face to villainess characters and make you care for them regardless of there flaws.

Description:
"Cubical have embraced eclecticism ever since they were introduced to the word by a friend. With slide guitar, harmonica, bongos and organ all over the place as well as the lovely riffs and jarred percussions; a bluesy, robotic, reggae, psychadelic twinged affair has established itself. Dan sneers out his lyrics over the top of the mangle and live performances are a joy."

"Donna's vocals sound excellent, to call the voice 'lovely' just doesn't seem rewarding enough... Hometakes 2 is a genuinely fantastic EP, an original sound and I applaud any band these days that manages to defy all genres. Amplifico are enormously talented and this new release has a very polished, crisp recording. 10/10 - stronger than irn-bru. "

LIFE SUPPORT CD SINGLE
A slithering jazz bassline, film noir chords and worldweary, yet angelic vocal. 'Let it rain down on me' as the music winds its way through the dirtiest backstreets into a lazy, scary blues guitar solo. By the time it ends without warning, you'll feel like you need a nice long shower. www.overplay.co.uk
