Everyone listens to music because it relaxes them in one way or the other. Young generation likes to listen to hip hop whereas old like to listen to jazz or classical music. All of these generations and all of the people listening to music all have some connection one way or the other to the music world. It may be that it reminds them of some beautiful time they spent with their friends and that music was being played alongside. Or it may be that some of the people might have viewed the music video. Now let’s suppose it was raining in the music video. Now every time it would rain most of the people there would recall the song. So if we observe a little closely there is always some kind of music there for everyone and there is always a special piece of music for all the people. People might recall songs when in vain or even when they are happy. So we see that the world keeps close to music for one reason or the other.

In modern times many people do not know how to define music. For most it is something that sounds good, but when we come to define what actually music is and what its theories and definitions are we can come to better understanding of the art. Musicians basically are the ones that read and write music and they are the one that use music as a language and communicate through it as their common language. That is why we cal music the universal language. This is the theory of music or that is how you can define what music is. Musicians use a piece of instrument and a music sheet to compose what we call music and it does not matter to what their native language is as music as a whole makes it a language itself and that is how musicians all over the world communicate through it.

Music is nothing without a sound; a sound can be defined as a rhythm, harmony or melody. In order to become a musician one must understand what music really is and understand the full depth of it. In the end it does not just come to what the output is, but one also must understand the composition, notes, chords and all the defined names for such elements in order for music to sound good and making people liking that sound.  Another thing is while making music it has to be pleasing to the ear and most musicians play music by ear enabling them to develop a good sense of pitch and are able to learn and improve their understanding of chords and notes. However one disadvantage of playing by ear is that certain types of music such as jazz or classical music will be faced with some difficulty and thus requiring more training.

Studying the theory of music is not only beneficial for those who are already studying the theory of music but it is also beneficial for the common man. Someone that has studied or is studying the theory of music is able to pay close attention to a musician or music they are listening to, it creates a sense of understanding the language as a whole and makes it more enjoyable.

Man musician these days use a system called a tablature. Music is in everything the sound of stream, voices of birds in jungle, sound of rain, sound of wind etc. these sounds are music of nature now for a second, imagine if these sounds are not there, yes there is no charm left in these thing. Similarly what we are now talking is manmade music. History of music is very old. There are changes in the music with the passage of time, but we know everything around us is continuously changing so music is no exception. If we listen to the music of 25 years back, music is very slow.

Now there is a trend of fast and loud music. Music changes itself to adjust with every generation. But it does not mean that now no one listened to the old song. There is certain music which is ever green. It does not matter how many times you have listened to these ever green songs, you enjoy every time. Nothing is completed without music. There is music in movies, dramas, theatre and in different occasions. People listened music to enjoy and relax.

There is music for each different occasion which involves human emotions and feeling. Tempo of all these music is different from each other. For example on parties usually loud and fast music is played, on weddings usually slow and romantic music is played. There is also a clear difference in the music of different countries or even culture within the culture. Music can be categorized by many ways, there is eastern, western or European music, or is can be differentiated on the basis of genres like jazz, pop, rock, metal, hip hop, raw, classical, semi classical, rap, instrumental etc.

There are variety of music, and different people like different music. People often listen to different kind of music according to the occasion or their mood. But one thing is clear that everyone will listen to the music in one way or another. Every time when you listen to your favorite piece of music it gives you energy and freshen you up. All of us listen to music to relax ourselves. Different types of music is listened by people of various kinds and various likes. The thing remains that there is always a special piece of music of music for everyone. People like to listen to music due to various other reasons. May be it reminds them of some old memory. May be it reminds them of some old friend or someone special in their lives so these are some of the reasons why people and the world keeps attached with music.

There are many types of music in that could be found. These come in the form of rock, jazz, pop, hip hop and rap. So, different types of people like to listen to different types of music, as told earlier.

It has been commonly observed that people who like to live their lives with to an extreme usually like to listen to rock music. It always gives them the adrenaline rush and these types of people like to listen to this kind of genre. ACDC and linkin park are among good rock bands that the youth of the world follows these days.

People that like an exciting life and are social, like to listen to pop and hip hop music. There are no special hard and fast rules for people to follow but in this article you are only told those things about music that is commonly observed about it. Some good bands and singles that come in this genre are Coldplay, lil-wayne, fort minor and slaughterhouse.

Now when we come to the jazz genre of music we would notice that most of the old people like this genre. This is mainly due to the reason that this type of music is quite light and with old age it sounds more than pleasing to them. But a lot of youth also like to listen to jazz in this modern time.

Asides from these genres there are a lot of other types of music. Like special music is made for weddings, parties and sporting events and even for wars. Music is found with everything that has an emotional attachment with the humans and even some composers show their emotions through music. Music has its own power and you would get to know that by observing the musicians. The most passionate of all these musicians making good music and singing with a harmonious voice would probably attract a lot of people towards his voice and towards his music.
